My blogger buddies know this story all too well.

Girl starts blogging.

Girl starts reading LOTS of blogs.

Girl falls in love with and subscribes to said blogs.

Over time, Girl continues to subscribe to more and more fabulous blogs.

Eventually, Girl logs into her Google Reader to see 300 unread blog posts.  Since yesterday.

Girl feels crushed under the weight of the pressure to keep up.

A few weeks ago, my friend Stephanie over at Love Life Project wrote this post, describing how she’d clicked the dreaded “Mark All As Read” even though she hadn’t, in fact, read all of the posts in her reader.  She apologized to her readers but asked them to leave a link to their “best work” from that week.

Stephanie and I both have a background in education.  So it’s no surprise that I thought about that linky for a while.  I thought,

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all link up our favorite post from the last month?  And read what other writers put out there as their best work?

The best part about this idea is that any blogger can participate without creating new content.  Just take a look back from this month’s post, pull your favorite and throw the link up.  Easy peasy.

I talked to Stephanie about it and she agreed it would be a great monthly linky.  So without further ado, I give you the “SHOW YOUR WORK” link up!

I even created a handy dandy button!

To participate….

1.  Put your best post forward!  Pick your favorite post from the month of October.

2.  Grab the badge (html in the right sidebar) and add it to your post.

3.  Link up using the linky tools below.

4.  Share some comment love with as many of the other links as you can.

5.  Be sure to tweet, Facebook, stumble, and sky write about your “Show Your Work” post.

(Extra karma points for following my blog, Google Friend connecting, or following me on the Twitter or  Facebook.)

You have until November 1st (11:59pm) to link up.  And I, for one, can’t wait to read your posts.

Spread the word!  The more bloggers participate, the more we can all revel in each other’s brilliance.

Happy Linking!
